Raydian

Summary

Raydian is an open quantum software platform that provides deployment, R&D tailoring, verification, optimization, and IP protection for quantum applications in industry. It turns research code and prototypes into deployable, reproducible, and secure applications at a fraction of the cost that companies would need to spend building equivalent solutions. At the same time it allows researchers to monetize and accelerate the development of their projects. The goal is to make quantum adoption cheaper, easier, and more reliable for both sides.

Problem

Quantum Software currently lives in a gap between research and production. Code is mostly written as experiments, leading to different SDKs, incosistent styles, little documentation and almost no verification besides simple runs and statistical checks.

For entreprises, this creates several problems:
– It is hard to assess correctness and risk of a given quantum algorithm and implementation.
– Integrating research code into existing frameworks is expensive, flagile and prone to failure.
– Building an internal team to adapt/createm verify and maintain this code is costly and a long-term expense.
– Quantum Software IP is ambiguous, the same algorithm can be implemented in many forms making it unusually hard to clearly define and protect.

On the other side, researchers have their own issues:
– Most of their work remain as prototypes, never developing further to become real products
– There is no standard path to monetize high-quality and innovative quantum software
– Research effort is often wasted, researchers often start from scratch since most projects have weak reuse and poor tracebility

Execution

Raydian addresses this by building the infrastructure that Quantum Software will need to bring value to real-world applications, by making those applications specified, verified and deployed.
In more concrete terms, Raydian:
– Maps a structured workflow that takes research code from research into well-defined, versioned and verifiable components.
– Creates a AI verification layer to verify correctness conditions, resource estimates, and enable IP protection, all of which is auditable.
– Supports deployment and life-cycle management for quantum research, so quantum algorithms can be tested, developed and optimized.
– Offer enterprises the opportunity to adopt and integrate Quantum Software without the development risks and financial burden attached to it.
– Builds libraries of reusable, composable and standardized quantum componentes that lowers the time and efforts for new projects.
– Cooperates with companies to tailor Quantum MVPs into real-world quantum code that suit their needs.
